DGWorld has developed a robot application usinga board game with Robots vs.t Human opponent.
Chess competition with robots is used as a taskof combining the implementation of the technical vision, artificial intelligence and robot control techniques all together.
The robot is equipped with additional hardware and software to enable the robot to play chess with a human chess player and make automatic interaction by using the image processwhich helpsthe robot’s motion on the checker board.
The solution consists of three units – technical vision, chess logic and robot control. Central unit is based on a chosen chess engine. During the analysis stage, the chess engine operational data types used for move calculation and decision-making processes were identified.
This system can be used in many areas, like competitions, exhibitions, education, entertainment and research and development
