DCD / Digi Robotics Company Signs MOU as a part of Government Submit Events

MOU to develop a robot for Civil Defence tasks was signed between General Directorate of Dubai Civil Defence and Digi Robotics by Maj.Gen.Expert Rashid Thani ALMatrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defence and Mr. Jamal AL Khatib, CEO of Digi Robotics Company at the sideline of UAE AI and Robotics Award for Good, taking place along with Government Summit in its second edition. The Robot can be used to carryout critical tasks remotely by connecting to firefighting systems in buildings and automatically moving to the source of fire to carry initial extinguishing process till the arrival of fire team, and can also be used in smart awareness campaigns in shopping malls as per the Government’s trend to adopt untraditional systems to protect lives and properties.

The robot was manufactured according to ideas and requirements set by Dubai Civil Defence. It will be subject to 3 month trial period, then evaluated at the end the period to check its technical and operational efficiencies. MOU aims to upgrade Civil Defence workers capabilities by implementing latest technologies, make use of international expertise in this field and activate strategic partnership with other concerned bodies. DCD’s participation in this exhibition comes as a continuation of its previous efforts in the last session, where it displayed RC Camera drone technology used in Civil Defence operations. MOU was signed in the presence of Col. Rashid Khalifa ALBuflasa, director of Director General office and Lt.Col. Ismail Ahmed ,Director of Corporate Communication Dept.
